Zazie Olivia Beetz was born Berlin in 1991. Her father was an German cabinet maker who emigrated into America United States after the Fall of the Berlin Wall in 1990, is her mother a South African American social worker. She immediately started auditioning after college and landed the part as Van on the set of Atlanta. Zazie has been performing in theatres in the local community and on stage in New York since her childhood. Zazie discovered that she loved acting when she was in school.
